Position Overview:
The Heat Treat Division Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager, providing updates on all aspects of the division. This role is crucial for leveraging technical resources, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards in the manufacturing or processing of parts. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, effectively liaising with employees, customers, suppliers, and various internal departments. Responsibilities also include overseeing employee training, performance reviews, job assignments, and weekly production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure overall cleanliness and organization of the division.
• Instruct employees to optimize performance and quality.
• Adhere to and enforce all OSHA safety regulations.
• Maintain and repair plant equipment as needed.
• Meet customer requirements, including delivery deadlines.
• Manage and submit all employee information to HR, ensuring follow-up.
• Implement training programs and conduct regular performance reviews for all employees.
• Oversee terminations or workforce changes and processes.
• Support and maintain all aspects of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS).
• Develop and maintain weekly schedules to achieve sales targets.
• Ensure product quality meets customer standards.
• Collaborate and communicate promptly with customer service and other team members.
• Utilize Visual Shop for tracking and scheduling.
• Provide regular updates to the Plant Manager.
• Apply best practices to deliver zero-defect products to customers.
• Work with customer service and purchasing to expedite parts when necessary.
• Organize and schedule staffing levels to meet weekly production demands.
• Perform other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a leadership role within a light industrial or manufacturing facility.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a job shop or commercial Heat Treat facility.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
