Hello, my name is Vina Abalos and I chose to work at Providence St. Elias Specialty Hospital because I honestly don’t see myself working anywhere else. I really enjoy working at the inpatient rehab facility at St. Elias, and I really enjoy taking care of patients by helping them to reach the highest level of functionality they can achieve after experiencing a life-changing condition that impairs their ability to perform activities of daily living independently or their ability to independently take care of themselves. So I just find myself really passionate about this specific patient population and at the same time, it just feels like home working here.

Description
Health Information Management Technician will ensure the quality of the patient’s medical record by verifying the accuracy and proper entry into the electronic health record system. Performs document imaging/scanning, document indexing and quality assurance of the electronic record while maintaining patient privacy and security. Provides a high level of customer service in coordinating patient information through all caregivers, clinical departments, and billing departments according to the organization’s policy and procedure.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Coursework/Training – Course in health information technology or health sciences.
• 1 year – Health information management experience.

About the Team
Providence Physician Enterprise (PE) is a service line within Providence serving patients across seven states with quality, compassionate, coordinated care.
