The Fraud Operations Analyst II supports monitoring of customer financial accounts against various fraud prevention strategies. The role also supports addressing fraud concerns reported by clients and associates. This job escalates suspicious activity that may be risky to the financial institution and customers. Working under general supervision, this job provides moderate level review and investigation actions that mitigate threats of fraud.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Places outbound calls to validate fraud detection alerts with clients.
• Answers inbound calls from customers or associate calling to report potential fraudulent activity on their accounts.
• Documents investigation actions and mitigation actions.
• Researches customer claims and gathers evidence regarding potential fraud activity.
• Provides control feedback to continually improve efficacy.
• Works with customers to verify account activity.
• Interacts with external partners such as law enforcement agencies, vendors and financial institutions to validate information to check fraudulent activities.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory reporting.

• 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred
FINRA Registrations
• SRC Indicator: NRF

Required Skills:
• 2+ years of experience in fraud investigations or detection
• Experience in working with federal, state or local criminal statutes related to fraud
• 2+ year of experience using Excel

• Experience creating Pivot Tables and Macros within Excel

Base Pay Range: $54,900/yr. – $87,600/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
