My favorite thing about our team in the ER is we are really the definition of a team. Everybody helps everybody else, especially when we start to get really busy and we might be falling behind. I will notice that maybe the charge nurse or one of my other coworkers has come and taken care of some of the tasks for one of my patients. So I really like that everybody helps everybody else in the ER and that we’re all kind of friends. So there’s not any bad energy between each other. We all kind of work together well.

Description
Under the direction of the Manager of Nutrition Services and the Supervisor of Nutrition Services, the Food Service Worker performs food preparation duties such as cold food, salad and catering production. Duties may include stocking patient floors, setting up and cleaning up catering events, and working a position on the patient trayline. All positions require that daily cleaning be done in each area and checklist areas signed. Equipment used includes blenders, food processors, mixers, and slicers. Interacts with patients in an age-appropriate manner for all age groups (infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).

Required Qualifications:
• National Food Handler Card – State County City Authority within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Food production experience.
• Computer experience.
