Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney with a strong academic background, significant law firm or clerkship experience, and exceptional problem-solving, writing, and communication skills. This role requires expertise in complex litigation related to commercial real estate, distressed loans, and financial instruments, along with substantial courtroom experience.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in financial services litigation involving commercial real estate, distressed loans, debt and security instruments, and creditor and lender liability.Draft and file legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies.Manage discovery, including taking and defending depositions, preparing interrogatories, and handling document production.Prepare for and participate in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and mediations.Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes as needed.Develop case strategies in collaboration with clients and team members.Maintain accurate case records and ensure adherence to procedural deadlines.RequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Tennessee State Bar.Minimum of 3 years of litigation or clerkship experience, with a focus on financial services, commercial real estate, and distressed loans.Proven experience in taking and defending depositions and handling courtroom proceedings.High level of academic achievement and solid problem-solving skills.SkillsExpertise in financial services litigation, including commercial real estate and distressed loan matters.Strong proficiency in legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Effective courtroom advocacy and presentation skills.Excellent communication, both oral and written, with the ability to craft persuasive arguments.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.Collaborative team player with a strategic approach to case management and client representation.BenefitsCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Medical, dental, life, and disability insurance.Voluntary vision insurance.401(k) plan with employer contributions.Paid time off.
