At Regions, the Financial Analyst gathers, organizes, analyzes, and communicates relevant financial information in support of line of business partners.
Primary Responsibilities
• Analyzes, consolidates, interprets, and communicates financial data
• Prepares detailed reports and presentations for review by all levels of management
• Monitors business unit financial performance against plans, forecasts, and budgets
• Consolidates a wide range of operating and financial projections for the development of both short-term and long-term business plans
• Offers advice and guidance to junior analysts, assisting in the development of necessary skills and promote continuous improvement initiatives
• Associates at this level are typically exhibiting strong basic executional capabilities and will begin to take on more responsibility
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a directly related field and two (2) years of experience with management financial reporting/analysis
• Or, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a directly related field and five (5) years of experience with management financial reporting/analysis
Preferences
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or Master’s degree in Finance
• Experience within a financial services industry

Responsibilities include
• Developing new processes and supporting existing processes to load and process data used for management reporting
• Advanced Structured Query Language (SQL) skills including Stored Procedures, Functions, etc.
• Assists with application patching and vulnerability management for OFSAA, ESSBASE, DRM, and DODECA applications
• Coordinates with various Technology groups for change management and support requests
• Develops and executes Informatica workflows
• Develops scripts and batches for process automation
• Thorough validation of all processes to ensure data accuracy
• Advanced analysis and problem-solving skills

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
