What You’ll Do
As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to advance a key platform capability in our Enterprise CRM Platform focusing on our Salesforce Ecosystem’s stability and org health. Here in the Enterprise CRM Platform team, we are at the intersection of many strategic and digital initiatives that impact the enterprise. You will work with our core CRM and other integrated systems and be provided unique opportunities to solve key business problems impacting our customers.
We are looking for a technology professional with Salesforce experience to work behind the scenes to help shape the team and provide impact at an enterprise level The capabilities supported by our platform team are essential in enabling the experiences of our distribution and business partners. • Solve interesting problems that enable positive customer, distribution partner, and employee experiences
• Document use cases, derive requirements, identify solutions, and research technologies both independently and in groups to help create best practices
• Drive the development of policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance for the Salesforce Engineering community at Principal
• Network, influence, and collaborate with engineering team members and enterprise stakeholders
• Demonstrate ownership, advocate for efficient operations/processes, best practices, and a healthy platform foundation
• Continuously improve the service you provide, your team, and yourself
Who You Are
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preference in a computer science, technology, or engineering field)
• 3+ years of Salesforce development experience
• Planning, problem solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Must have the desire and ability to learn new technology and continuously grow
• Strong technical aptitude – ability to collaborate with stakeholders and IT partners
Additional Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Salesforce Platform Developer 1 Certificate
• Familiarity with Agile methodology
• Experience working in a shared Salesforce environment
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$77350 – $182400 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments
This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
