What You’ll Do
We’re looking for an Experienced Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data & Analytics department. In this role, you’ll be a part of the Workforce Data Team and help bring modern engineering capabilities to drive enterprise strategy across the business!
• Own technical aspects of data management functions including creating, loading, transforming, cleansing, processing, analyzing, and visualizing data.
• Work directly or in support of data science/analytics to design, develop, test and integrate data from various source systems into large-scale, easily consumable data platforms used for providing insights that promotes business growth and efficiency.
• Build data solution designs, models and infrastructure by applying architectural patterns and principles, data governance and security, researching new technologies and approaches, understanding requirements, all phases of testing, debugging, documenting, quality assurance practices, implementation and maintenance.
• Demonstrate knowledge of industry trends, create optimized data components and systems that use appropriate development environment. Employ technology (i.e., scripting languages, data movement tools) for efficient system integration.
• Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality.

Who You Are
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 + years related work experience or a Master’s in a related field.
• Experience building/operating systems for data extraction, ingestion and processing of large data sets.
• Experience with relational database concepts and table structures and are proficient in writing queries using SQL.
• Experience building data products incrementally and integrating and managing datasets from multiple sources.
• Ability to work directly with data and datastores through programming language such as SQL, Python, Java, etc.
• Skilled in collaborating with a variety of partners, including external consultants and vendors.
• Ability to effectively communicate strategies and designs to all levels of the company.

• Experience supporting HR Systems such as ICIMS, Oracle human Capital Management, Peoplesoft or other similar environments

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$63750 – $147600 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments
This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
Hours
This role will partner with our global teams and has an expectation for flexibility in your work schedule to have a frequent start time around 7am CST.
Job Level
We’ll consider talent at the next level (Data Engineer III) with the right experience, background and skill level.
