The Executive Director of Talent Management is responsible for steering strategic initiatives and providing leadership to develop a comprehensive Talent Management framework. This encompasses Performance Management, Employee Experience/Engagement, Talent Measures & Assessments, Learning & Development, and Succession Planning, all in alignment with our organizational objectives and values.
Report directly to the senior vice president and head of people and HR as a pivotal Cirrus HR leadership team member. This role oversees both direct and matrixed teams of talent management and L&D professionals. Located in beautiful Duluth, Minnesota, the home to our corporate headquarters, Duluth is a four-season city on the western tip of Lake Superior and was voted Best Town by Outside Magazine. Collaborating closely with the HR Business Services team (HR Business Partners), the Executive Director ensures cohesive leadership to support a meaningful employee journey while upholding Cirrus Aircraft’s Values and Service Essentials, enhancing effectiveness across our Talent Management initiatives.
This leadership role positions organizational learning and culture as critical business differentiators for Cirrus, actively shaping and refining our Talent and L&D programs and practices. Cultivating a culture of continuous learning and change management is paramount, as well as fostering an environment where employees can thrive, enhance their skills, and develop professionally while feeling valued and supported.
Lead the management of Cirrus Performance, Employee Experience/Engagement, Talent Assessment, Learning & Development, and Succession Planning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.
• Development and Succession Planning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.
• Define and develop the tools used by HRBPs to guide and support managers and employees through the performance management process, including goal setting, feedback, evaluations, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Develop and execute comprehensive onboarding programs to facilitate seamless integration of new hires into Cirrus culture and ensure their success.
• Drive the creation and delivery of innovative learning and development initiatives to enhance employee skills, leadership abilities, and engagement levels.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of enterprise-wide learning strategies, including leadership development, while ensuring alignment with competencies and experiential learning.
• Define the Cirrus Talent Review (CTR) process to identify organizational needs for learning and development, career growth, and succession planning.
• Collaborate effectively with HR Business Services to provide valuable insights on talent perspectives regarding organizational design and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with leaders and HR to proactively identify long-term capability requirements and address learning needs. Implement assessments and measures to enhance understanding of employee engagement and drive strategic learning opportunities.
• Partner with the SVP HR to design and execute succession planning initiatives to nurture high-potential employees for future leadership roles, partnering with business leaders and HR. Provide leadership coaching and support to executives and top talent, acting as a trusted advisor in solving organizational challenges.
• Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to support talent management initiatives.
• Recommend and analyze talent metrics to track progress, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. Stay informed of industry trends to bring innovative solutions to talent management practices.
• Develop standard KPIs and reporting mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of Talent Management programs and manage budget spend and variance reporting.
• Provide technical guidance for learning deployment and optimize the learning management system (LMS) for efficient performance.
• Uphold Cirrus Aircraft’s core values and promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in education, behavioral science, leadership, or related field is required.
• Twelve years of experience in training, learning, organizational behavior and development, and talent management.
• Seven years of leadership experience demonstrating increasing responsibility across multiple disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong proficiency with data analytics and KPIs for Talent Management
• Experience in multi-site operations/multi-business unit environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong project management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication, including facilitation skills
• MS Suite proficient
