Overview
JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for employee relations activities. Responsible for advising management in all activities relating to fair and consistent treatment of employees, review of disciplinary actions, conducting workplace investigations, acting as liaison between management and employees, providing legal basis for risk analysis in employment actions, coordinates and participates as representative in unemployment hearings, responsible for legal employment related labor posting requirements, filing of the EEO-1 report and other compliance related reports, with assistance of general counsel prepared responses to complaints.
Essential Functions:
• Conducts Needs Analysis activities to include tracking of complaints, categories, legal charges filed, settled, and concluded.
• Conducts and documents investigations of employee complaints.
• Advises Supervisors and Management on legal, fair, and consistent, treatment of staff; provides interpretation of policies, provides specialized training in areas such as prevention of sexual harassment, valuing diversity, and fostering open communication.
• Represents organization in employment matters such as EEOC inquiries and Unemployment Hearings.
• Coordinates Exit Survey Process and reports results.
• Coordinates activities for service awards and recognition programs.
• Provides notice of position eliminations and coordinates outplacement efforts.
• Present Employee Relations Component at the New Employee Orientation.
• Provides advice and guidance to all levels of management regarding employee relations activities according to established guidelines and sound administrative practices.
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to perform analysis, prepare spreadsheets and presentations, and work with existing HRIS in mining data
Experience Requirements:
2 years’ Experience handling employee relations complaints and investigations required
Wide range of HR professional experience required
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required at time of hire.
Associates preferred
Bachelors Human Resources, Management, Business, Psychology, Organizational Development or related field preferred
Additional Details: 2 years of HR experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree
