The National Security Sector at Leidos is looking for an Electrical Engineer to provide technical support to the US Army Combat Capability Development Command, DEVCOM Armaments Center (AC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, and other government organizations for ongoing fuze setter related technical programs.

Your Main Mission:
The candidate will commence work with other members of the Fuze IPT in support of these programs as a new revision of the design is developed. Duties include troubleshooting technical issues in the lab; creating TDP documents from schematics, assembly drawings, and other EE centric TDP items, support IPT leads; troubleshooting electronic issues; preparing technical recommendations to other DEVCOM AC offices/JPEO A&A customers. Travel to government or production facilities is required up to 20% of the time. Initial term would be 1 year.
Typical duties include:
• Participate in IPT meetings and execute assigned tasks.
• Develop test sets for new circuit board designs
• Develop firmware and software solutions for new embedded processors
• Support technical reviews, perform data analysis
• Perform electronic laboratory testing & analysis
• Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site visits to contractor facilities and test sites
• Provide status updates on assigned programs
• Provide support to product improvement efforts.
• Participate in failure investigations.
• Review or prepare briefing material.
What Sets You Apart:
• BS in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with circuit design, basic electronic bench equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, signal generators, etc), and circuit troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and with a team of people.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Candidate should be able to document results in the form of technical reports and communicate with other IPT members and external customers.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have US citizenship.
You Might Also Have:
• College classes in Electronics Packaging, Digital Electronics and Computer Architecture.
• Interest in embedded electronics design is desired.
• Knowledge of embedded devices such as ASICs and microcontrollers or FPGAs & their related programming is highly beneficial.
Clearance Required:
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance within 60 days of hire.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $53,950.00 – $97,525.00
