The Opportunity

Our team is passionate about transforming the world of documents and productivity. We are looking for a Product Marketing director for Adobe Acrobat that is focused on feature marketing and how we bring to market new Gen AI capabilities and innovations. This role will be accountable for driving business results in collaboration with multiple cross-functional teams. This is a highly visible position that requires clear critical thinking and ability to implement all the way down to the nitty gritty details. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Gen AI driven ideation, exude ownership of the business and be able to demonstrate the ability to influence teams in Product, Marketing, GTM, Communications and more in a matrixed environment.
What You’ll Do
• Strategic Planning: Partner closely with product and PMM teams to develop comprehensive marketing strategies to drive awareness and adoption of new features, aligning with overall business objectives and target audience preferences. This includes:
• Market share, landscape assessment
• Target audience definition and priorities, customer needs
• Growth levers across product, GTM, geos, partnerships
• Marketing strategy
• Value proposition and messaging
• Distribution strategies including partnerships and ecosystem
• Engagement strategy
• Feature Positioning and Messaging: Define compelling and differentiated messaging for each new feature, highlighting key benefits and value propositions to resonate with target audiences.
• Content Creation: Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to create high-quality marketing collateral, including blog posts, whitepapers, videos, and case studies, showcasing the value of new features.
• Customer Advocacy: Cultivate relationships with key customers to gather testimonials, case studies, and user-generated content, leveraging their experiences to drive feature adoption among prospects.
• Develop deep knowledge of the Acrobat business, generative models, differentiated capabilities, content quality and supported content type and be the expert in market trends, customer needs, landscape, and market growth drivers in the Gen AI space.
• Define the critical metrics for measuring success across Acrobat product marketing activities
• Drive strategic updates and discussions with senior executives
• Lead a cross functional team to deliver on key success factors across all aspects of the GTM Strategy
• Lead a growing team of product marketing leaders coaching them to drive impact.
• Act as a change agent, guiding teams forward in a rapidly evolving environment
What You’ll Need to Succeed
• Be an experienced senior-level PMM and understand micro SMB, solopreneur audiences and their expectations from tools
• Proven experience in product marketing, with a focus on feature promotion and adoption.
• Ideally a passion for innovation in how productivity will be transformed by AI/ML
• Strong EQ, influencing skills, and leadership ability, ideally including experience driving consensus in matrixed organizations.
• Self-starter and proactive leader with 15+ years of building highly effective teams
• Strong executive presence and excellent communication skills
• Strategic problem solver who can identify and set short and long term strategic priorities
• A drive to constantly optimize and improve, combined with a relentless focus on customer experience
• “Owner-operator” working style
• Proven success influencing peers across product management, engineering, corporate marketing, and regional leaders
Location and Hours
San Francisco/San Jose
Ability to work cross geo hours with India teams
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $136,600 — $297,600 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
