We’re seeking an experienced Director of Finance to oversee key areas including budgeting, grant compliance, payroll, and purchasing.
Chestnut Health Systems is a leading provider of integrated health care services. Since 1973, Chestnut has grown to almost 800 committed, compassionate employees providing substance use, mental health, and primary care treatment to patients in Illinois and Missouri. We provide fully integrated care for all our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. Responsibilities
• Strategic Budget Management: Lead and develop the annual budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate with administrative, clinical, and professional teams to create personnel, operational, and capital budgets.
• Grant Management Oversight: Ensure compliance with financial grant requirements, coordinate reports to government and regulatory agencies, and assist in the preparation of financial and utilization reports for various funders.
• Payroll Leadership: Oversee the payroll process to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Collaborate with the Payroll Administrator and Human Resources to maintain employee data and resolve discrepancies.
• Purchasing Oversight: Ensure adherence to purchasing policies and assist with resolving procurement issues.
• Customer Service Excellence: Promote Chestnut’s culture of service excellence through adherence to our behavioral standards.
• Confidentiality and Security: Protect and maintain the confidentiality of all organizational and client information.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Experience: Minimum of seven years of relevant experience, including three years in grant and contract management and five years of payroll experience. A minimum of five years in a supervisory role is required.
• Skills: Advanced mathematical, computational, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, with knowledge of automated accounting systems. Strong interpersonal, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
