Fanatics Collectibles is a new company working at the intersection of collectibles and technology. We are backed by some of the best investors, sports & entertainment properties and operators in the world. Fanatics Collectibles is integrating with Fanatics’ global digital sports platform – which includes 900 sports relationships and more than 81 million reachable fans – to reimagine the collectibles business for the 21st century.
Role Summary
Fanatics Collectibles is looking for a seasoned Business Operations leader to independently own & drive some of the highest priority, highest complexity, and highest visibility initiatives on our organization’s strategic roadmap. The Director of Business Operations will report directly to the SVP of Operations & Strategic Growth, who reports directly to Collectibles’ Chief Strategy Officer. Given the Biz Ops team’s end-to-end mandate, this role will be expended to both 1) own the evaluation / scoping of potential strategic initiatives as well as 2) to drive end-to-end execution and ensure success. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with world-class strategic, analytical, and program management skills, as well as a demonstrated propensity for solving difficult problems, experience leading and growing teams, and a clear team-first mindset. Candidates with a passion for sports, culture, & entertainment will find themselves a strong cultural fit.
Within the first 6 months, you will…
• Independently drive multiple high-impact business initiatives and work cross-functionally to ensure project success (immediately examples include: near/off-shoring efforts, new tools/tech platform development, strategic process change to enable growth, etc.)
• Set goals, drive large programs / analytics, present progress updates, and deliver recommendations to the Collectibles Chief Strategy Officer and other key leaders
• Work with the entire Biz Ops team to identify, size, and actively prioritize all potential initiatives / opportunities on the roadmap
• Spearhead build of robust business intelligence functionality to enable continuous business improvement, accountability, transparency, and ultimately scalable growth
• Lend cross-functional support by leading / driving high-impact, highly analytical, or highly strategic initiatives across the organization
The Ideal Candidate
• 4-7 years of experience, with a preference for Management Consulting, Strategy, Finance / Accounting, or Biz Ops / Strategy roles
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, accounting or similar preferred
• Strong quantitative modelling & analytical skills, excellent written & verbal communication skills, strong financial acumen
• Team-first management mindset, with a passion for solving highly complex problems collaboratively with their direct reports
• Strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize and remain flexible in high pressure dynamic situation
The salary range for this position is $188,000- $235,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
