JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. Creates and maintains forecast models for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources. Integrates sales and commercial organization. Leads the dialogue each month for their respective customers and products with key counterparts in Customer Service, Planning & Buying teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
• Provides efficient completion of production planning functions.
• Develops demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
• Reviews historical sales trends, researches demand drivers, prepares forecast data, and evaluates forecast results.
• Coordinates cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales assumptions.
• Interacts with Customer Service & Buying team to understand demand forecast drivers.
• Utilizes a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
• Monitors Customer Care personnel and ensures the inventory for finished goods is accurately allocated to shipping orders promptly by date.
• Monitors the accuracy and performance of all purchasing related functions within ERP systems.
• Reviews sales plans and updates demands drivers to maintain current demand schedules.
• Achieves consensus for production demand by facilitating a collaborative planning process with customer service and production.
• Prepares relevant material to facilitate research and discussion.
• Provides input to volume planning (Latest Estimates/annual process).
• Facilitates and manages demand planning based on orders/forecast, raw/dry goods availability.
• Maintains demand planning system and software.
• Prepares and maintains reports pertaining to demand planning process.
• Executes customer replenishment and relates to the Supply Chain group the opportunities and risks regarding customer replenishment.
• Provides input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on products, and product phase-outs.
• Coordinates customer action plans with supply chain.
• Effectively manages assigned personnel, ensuring optimal performance.
• Leads through effective goal setting, communication, and coaching.
• Directs and assigns personnel, providing assistance and support.
• Assists with personnel decisions including hiring, corrective actions, terminations decisions and promotions.
• Motivates, corrects, and challenges personnel with a positive approach.
• Notifies Production Manager when problems arise.
• Has expert knowledge for all department job functions.
• Maintains an open dialogue with assigned team.
• Resolves problems in a direct and positive way when approached with feedback and concerns.
• Ensures all company policies are followed.
• Assumes other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
• Three or more years of Supply Chain or Materials Management experience
• The ability to communicate effectively with management on all levels and be customer-focused
• Excellent attention to detail, problem solving and analytical thinking
• Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, work with a team and be flexible with work schedule
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Access: A MUST
• Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools
• Ability to speak, read, and write English

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Most of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the production facility.
