The Page Group, a leading Data Science staffing firm, is partnering with a luxury resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, to fill a key role in their Enterprise Analytics business unit. We are seeking a Manager of Data Science to lead a high-impact team. This is an on-site position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead Data Science Initiatives: Manage and drive data science projects, with a focus on forecasting and other predictive modeling, using AI/ML, clustering, and regression techniques.
• Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor a team consisting of Data Scientist and ML Engineers.
• Model Development: Design, develop, and implement predictive models and algorithms to optimize business operations and enhance customer experience.
• Data Pipeline & Analysis: Build end-to-end data pipelines, perform exploratory and descriptive analysis, and leverage insights to inform business strategy.
• Technical Proficiency: Apply expertise in Python, SQL/BigQuery, and, ideally, Databricks to create scalable, efficient data solutions. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
• Collaboration & Communication: Participate in cross-functional teams, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders and presenting data-driven recommendations.
• Project Management: Ensure the timely delivery of high-accuracy forecasting models and other key deliverables, promoting a culture of excellence within the team.
• Research & Development: Stay current with industry trends, continuously exploring new technologies and methodologies in data science.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in data science, with at least 2+ years in an individual contributor role. Hands-on experience in building machine learning and predictive models is essential.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL/BigQuery, and experience with Databricks and GCP is highly desirable.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, data science, mathematics, computer science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Licensing: Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary certifications or licenses as required by law or policy.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in the hospitality and/or gaming industry is a plus, particularly in data analytics, statistical modeling, and optimization techniques.
• Key Competencies: Strong background in statistical and quantitative analysis, including linear regression, time series modeling, and predictive analytics.
