Credit and Collections Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced Commercial Collections professional for a growing client in Harrison, OH. The Credit and Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring timely collections of outstanding invoices, and assessing creditworthiness of potential customers. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $21 and $25/hr. depending on experience.
Responsibilities
• Monitor accounts receivable to identify outstanding debts.
• Engage in consistent and professional communication with customers to collect on overdue accounts.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements with delinquent accounts.
• Assess and analyze new customer credit applications to determine creditworthiness.
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activity and customer interactions.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service departments to resolve billing disputes.
• Prepare and present reports on collection activities and accounts receivable status to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations regarding collections and credit assessment.
• Additional duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in credit and collections or a similar financial role.
• Strong understanding of billing and collections procedures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
