Successful Dallas based Hospitality Company is currently seeking a dynamic, talented individual to manage the Human Resources discipline for our Corporate Office, Hotels located in Texas as well as California. As the Corporate Director Human Resources, you will maintain and enhance the short- and long-term planning and the daily operations of the Human Resources discipline.
Here’s what the job would look like:
As the Corporate Director of Human Resources, you will coordinate, administer and report on various human resource programs, systems and procedures to aid in the attraction, retention and motivation of employees in accordance with policies, procedures, government laws and regulations while promoting a safe, fair, and positive work environment.
You will assist in the recruiting, hiring and daily administration of various salary, benefit, government and associate relations programs. You will recommend and implement procedural/process changes.
Here are your job responsibilities:
• Monitor and manage the recruitment, interviewing, hiring and orientation processes to maintain staffing levels with qualified individuals while complying with SOPs, federal, state & local laws & regulations
• Oversee and implement various in-house training programs to ensure consistent administration & reduce turnover in the properties, provide open communication and promote a positive pro-associate work environment
• Advocate the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy by counselling the company’s hotel leadership teams and training managers in creating and administering discipline of associates as needed, through clear, calm and direct oral written communication, in accordance with the guidelines established by HHG
• Counsel and train managers on employee relations issues, resolve employee grievances
• Oversee Hotel payroll process including maintaining related associate/payroll records, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, checking and auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standards, supervising compliance with time and attendance records, the entering of new hires into the payroll system, posting changes in pay and tax status, and miscellaneous changes
• Administer all associate benefit programs in the company’s hotels, act as the intermediary with insurance administrators, monitor all monthly billing, ensure monthly premiums are paid in a timely manner, coordinate, in conjunction with corporate and on site hotel accounting personnel and control all benefit audits including group health insurance, COBRA, vacation, sick, leave of absences, jury duty pay and others such as Health Fairs
• Coordinate and manage Workers Compensation insurance, as it relates to trends, regulations and the laws, ensuring full compliance. Ensure accident reports are properly investigated and review accident loss run reports to determine accident trends, progress and cost containment measures
• Oversee the management of the Leave of Absence Programs and ensure compliance with relevant governmental programs as they relate to Leaves of Absence to include monitoring return dates of associates, verifying doctor’s notes, collecting insurance payments as necessary and reporting as necessary
• Oversee the management of Unemployment Claims and coordinate compliance between EDD/Hotel and Unemployment Department representatives. Ensure that property managers attend Unemployment Hearings
• Assist in office administration including maintenance of associate records, filing and other projects assigned to the Human Resources Department to comply with government laws and regulations
• Coordinate the advertising of Benefits & Associate Relations Events
• Position the Company as the “preferred employer” in each of its markets by maintaining strong community relations with referral agencies to maintain strong applicant flow
• Oversee processing of HR forms and responses to written and oral inquiries regarding verification of employment, wages, unemployment compensation & worker’s compensation claims, in a manner which is consistent and ensure that liability is minimized
• Coordinate competitive wage & benefit survey annually
• Send any updates to the properties’ brag boards including, but not limited to memos, pictures of employee events, loss prevention materials
• Oversee / conduct exit interviews, track trends and complete turnover reports in an accurate, timely manner
• Create and maintain a quarterly HHG newsletter
• Ensures timely submission of EEOC Filings
• Perform special projects as assigned

Job requirements:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and commensurate experience
Experience: You are a true Leader and understand the complexities of the daily tasks in this type of role. You have prior hotel experience. You have at least 5 years of Human Resources Leadership; previous management experience in a Full-Service high volume hotel will be advantageous and preferred if you are ready to take the next step as this is a very hands on position.
Required Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experienced with ADP (preferred) or other payroll systems
• Strong talent acquisition experience is expected
• Ability to write and communicate professionally, Spanish bilingual fluency a plus
• Must be hospitality oriented and possess the ability to work under pressure
• Multi-tasking capabilities
• Knowledge of current HR policies and trends,

Travel required: Based at the corporate office in Dallas. Some travel required to hotels in Texas and California. Other travel as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
