This is an in-person role where you will report to Snowflake’s Senior Corporate Counsel – Compliance and will be located in Snowflake’s New York, Mclean (Virginia), or Dublin (California) office. This is not a remote position.RESPONSIBILITIES :• Support building Snowflake’s greenhouse gas (GHG) footprint and reduction strategy by assisting with the ongoing collection, validation, and analysis of GHG emissions data, and help evaluate and implement longer-term decarbonization strategies• Contribute to the development of Snowflake’s ESG program and help prepare for ESG regulatory compliance and sustainability reporting (e.g., SEC, California, and CSRD disclosure requirements)• Help build, automate, operate, and monitor the effectiveness of critical compliance processes• Support Snowflake’s anti-corruption programs, including working with business requesters to understand the proposed activities, evaluating them, and making recommendations to senior management• Support Snowflake’s policy management system• Support Snowflake’s partner and vendor diligence programs• Assist with Snowflake’s document retention program• Help manage compliance and ethics trainings• Initial point of contact for employees’ compliance inquiries• Help ensure that Snowflake’s core compliance policies and operating standards are effectively created, implemented, and enforced• Partner closely with compliance partners on the Finance, Security, Internal Audit, and HR teams• Partner with the Legal Operations and IT teams to automate and enhance compliance controlsREQUIREMENTS :• JD from an accredited law school, membership in at least one state bar, and ability to practice in California• 3-5 years of professional experience, ideally focusing on compliance matters such as DOJ compliance programs or anti-corruption• Law firm experience required; in-house experience is a plus• Technical savvy with ability to quickly learn and operate new systems• Ability to explain complicated concepts in simple terms• Attitude that no project is too big or too small• Comfort working in an extremely fast-paced environment• Sense of humor!Every Snowflake employee is expected to follow the company’s confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data. It is every employee’s duty to keep customer information secure and confidential.The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:• The estimated base salary range for this role is $180,000 – $252,000.• Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
