Overview
The construction manager is responsible for the oversight and management of all US based construction projects. Projects can range in scope from minor office upgrades to a full office fit out.
In this role you will:
• Oversee all construction projects including minor upgrades to a full office fit out at all of SIG’s US locations
• Oversee and provide direction to SIG’s Project Manager, Superintendent and Coordinator
• Assist with the identification and qualification of the various sub-contractors required for projects, including all site and building trades
• Responsible for project scheduling
• Liaise between architects, engineers, and others working on projects such as SIG Purchasing and Technology teams
• Prepare and manage estimates, budgets, timetables, and resources
• Review and approve contractor schedule of values
• Review scopes of work prior to execution
• Review plans for constructability and compliance to SIG standards
• Ensure adherence to building rules and safety standards
• Attend and serve as a communication resource in coordination and progress meetings; make regular trips to sites during construction including bid walks, preconstruction walks, in-progress site visits, punch walks and construction closeout
• Assist Global Facilities Manager in firm’s space master planning
• Ensure all team members are keeping projects up to date in AutoDesk
What we’re looking for
• 5-10 years of experience in the commercial construction industry, prior management experience required
• Experience with fit outs of up to 40,000 sq. ft.
• Proficient with project management software as well as Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment
• Strong decision-making, interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
• Ability to travel domestically to SIG’s US offices at least 15% of the time
