Description
The Community Development and Farm to School Specialist provides direct support to Farm-to-School partners, Farm and Food Businesses, and Community Organizations, in furtherance of CVOEO and Healthy Roots Collaborative’s joint mission to strengthen the local food system for the health and vitality of the communities it serves. Develop and implement educational programming for farms, farm businesses, schools, and other stakeholders on issues including farming, local food sourcing, expanding market access to locally grown food, Vermont’s agricultural economy, and increasing food security for all through education, access, and community action.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and experience in human services or other appropriate discipline which include 1-3 years related experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired. Familiarity with services of other community social services and their eligibility requirements and knowledge of food and agricultural systems and farm-based education are desired. Supervisory experience desirable.
