Job Description
This role is responsible for executing center-wide and business unit volunteer projects. Manage relationships with external and internal partners to deliver Discover Cares volunteer project plans to Center leaders and the Community Affairs team. Work with Community Affairs and Center Communications to communicate volunteer opportunities to all employees across the Center and actively recruit employees to participate. Liaise between Discover and our community partners and serve and represent Discover in our communities. Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to require standards and processes. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
Responsibilities
• Identify opportunities to grow and/or showcase the Discover Cares commitment to the community through volunteerism, building relationships with community nonprofit partners; enhance the company’s reputation and increase recognition opportunities.
• Recruit employee volunteers to participate, and spearhead execution of large and small-scale volunteer events center wide, with business units, and Employee Resource Groups.
• Utilize internal communications channels to inspire employee participation and recognize Discover Cares projects; create ways to motivate employees and offer new, flexible volunteer opportunities.
• Monitor local expenses and payment processes to help facilitate Center’s Community budget and Community Affairs budget.
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related
• 2+ years of experience in Corporate Relations, Non-Profit Management, Philanthropy, Prior experience running a Corporate Responsibility program, event planning, experience managing a company or corporate budget, or related experience
• In lieu of education, 4+ years experience in Corporate Relations, Non-Profit Management, Philanthropy, Prior experience running a Corporate Responsibility program, event planning, experience managing a company or corporate budget, or related experience.

Compensation
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $58,500.00 to $90,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
