The Commissary Worker is responsible for assisting in the operation of the facility commissary including, but not limited to inventory, sales and handling stock.
• Conduct commissary sales operation in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
• Provide for the proper repair and/or exchange of items sold.
• Process inmate’s/resident’s order forms; enter data into computer.
• Verify in-coming shipments against receiving documents; note and report any discrepancies, damages or quality concerns.
• Route items to appropriate storage locations; store in accordance with established storage procedures.
• Prepare merchandise for distribution; keep equipment and work area clean.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent required.
• Inventory, retail and/or computer experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
