Salary Range: Pay rate from $27.89-$33.20/hr with annual pay of $58,091 – $69,056 with 3 – 5 years seniority.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for cleaning suburban passenger cars.
PASSENGER CAR MAINTENANCE
• Supply and clean inside and outside of passenger train cars
• Remove garbage from cars, sweep, mop, turn seats, clean windows and toilets, polish stainless steel inside cars, and other assigned duties
• Clean and service passenger car toilets.
• Operate yard vehicles, such as water buggies and garbage tractors.
CHICAGO UNION STATION
• May be required to cover service at Chicago Union Station, plugging and unplugging the trains as a Utility worker

• Subject to seniority and governed by union agreement
• Assigned shift may be one of three 8-hour shifts
• Mechanical shops operate 24 hours/day, 7 days/week

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• At least18 years of age, or will be by the start date listed above
• Available to work in geographic area indicated
• Able to work safely in the above working conditions
• Able to work the above shift/hours
• Ability to read, write and communicate (speak, hear and communicate) in English
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs without assistance
• Ability to use hands and use hand tools to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning and pulling
• Ability to climb ladders and get on/off equipment
• Ability to occasionally work from various heights
• Ability to bend, walk, stand, and sit occasionally with breaks
• Follow safety policies and procedures; wear required personal protective equipment
