Description:Manufacturer in Elkhart, IN is searching for a CNC Lead in the Mill department on 3rd shift. This is basically just a CNC Mill Machinist that is able to make adjustments and help with set ups for other CNC Operators on 3rd shift. There is no quality department on 3rd shift, so this candidate will be doing quality checks for other machinists as well as their own.Hours:• 1st shift: 6AM to 4:30PM (Monday through Thursday) (6-8 hour shift on Friday if OT)• 3rd shift: 8PM to 6:30AM (Sunday through Wednesday) (6-8 hour shift on Thursday if OT)Pay:$26 to $28 + $2 shift premiumJob Duties:• Setting up various CNC mills (mostly horizontal machining centers)• mostly operating and helping other operators due to long run times in the casings department• In-depth blueprint reading• Completion of offsets and changing tooling• Ability to maintain tight tolerances (+/-.0005 (half thou))• Utilization of various gauges, micrometers, optical comparators and other quality instruments• First article inspections and checks throughout part runs• Assurance of accuracy and minimization scrapped parts About Aerotek:We know that a company’s success starts with its employees.
