Adecco is currently looking for CNC Lathe Machinists to join our team in the Sterling Heights, Michigan area on 1st shift. The ideal candidate is someone who has been a CNC Lathe Machinist and works well in a busy environment. This is a temporary position with the possibility of being hired in permanently based on performance. If this is a position that you would be interested in, APPLY NOW!Job Summary The candidate will operate and set up CNC machines to produce precision parts to meet customer specifications and quality requirements. They must be knowledgeable in machine tooling and programming adjustments.Skill Requirements Must-Have:• CNC machine operation experience (1+ years of experience)• Ability to read and understand blueprints, set-up sheets, drawings, and programmer notes for setting up vertical milling centers• Ability to use precision measurement tools to high level of tolerance• Proficiency with changing cutting tools and adjusting feeds and speeds per job requirements• Familiarity with G codes and M codes• Experience with performing minor program editsPreferred:• Experience with Fanuc controls on OKK machines• Knowledge of both 2D machining and 3D machiningSkill Education• CNC (Computer Numerical Control): A method used in manufacturing that involves the use of computers to control machine tools.• Vertical Milling Centers: Machines used in manufacturing that position the tool vertically while working on a piece.• G Codes & M Codes: Programming languages used in CNC machining; G-codes control the movements of a machine’s workpiece holder or tooling system while M-codes manage other aspects such as turning coolant on or off.• Program Edits: Minor changes made directly at the machine’s interface by an operator or machinist to correct or optimize a CNC program.• Fanuc Controls: A popular brand of computer numeric controls (CNC) used in automated machinery such as robotic arms or CNC milling machines.• OKK Machines: A brand of advanced vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers.• Precision measuring tools: used in metalworking among other fields to measure small distances or thicknesses accurately.• Indicators: Measuring instruments designed for comparative measurements where variations are indicated by needle movement.Why Work For Adecco:• Weekly Pay, every FRIDAY• Benefits Available• Amazing Customer ServiceOTHER QUALIFICATIONS:• High school diploma required; some college preferred.• Demonstrates high quality work and detail oriented.• Strong written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.• Ability to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear.
