Children’s Minnesota provides a full continuum of mental health services including an outpatient psychiatry clinic, integrated psychiatric care, partial hospital programs, and inpatient mental health care as well as psychiatric consultation in our emergency rooms. We are closely allied with strong Psychology, Eating disorders, Neuropsychology, and Developmental Pediatrics departments as well as services on both Minneapolis and St Paul hospital campuses.
We are seeking a child and adolescent psychiatrist to our growing partial hospitalization program located in Lakeville and Roseville. Join a multidisciplinary team of 3 psychiatrists, psychologists, program therapists, mental health specialists, and music and art therapists.
• Provide direct clinical care in psychiatry, including brief assessments and interventions
• In collaboration with the treatment team, patient, and family, develop behaviorally-focused, outcomes-based treatment plans of care that address mental health, functional impairment, and co-occurring addictive or medical disorders
• Develops and leads staff education in psychiatric issues
• The partial hospitalization program allows psychiatrists to work closely with patients and their families as they meet with them 2-3 times a week for about 3 weeks and have the option to partake in family sessions
• Patient case load varies from 8 to 24, based on program size and provider FTE with 1.0 FTE for 24 chairs
• Provide services for children from 6 to 18 years old.
• Flexible FTE will consider part-time to full-time (.6 FTE to 1.0 FTE) candidates.
• Monday – Friday schedule
• Inpatient call rotation – one weeknight/month and two weekends/year (additional compensation provided)
Qualifications
Must have an M.D., D.O. with a current Minnesota Medical License or the ability to obtain one
Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
