Cable Assembly
Description
As a Cable Assembler, you will prepare bulk cable on and off spools and reels for the assembly process. You will ensure the quality of cables while measuring, cutting, and configuring them in accordance with drawings, work orders, and instructions. You will prepare cable ends by cutting and trimming for connector/cable assembly, and assemble and apply proper markers, labels, and associated materials onto cables. You will configure, bag, and package final assemblies as per drawings and work orders. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by adhering to all standard operating practices, procedures, and policies is essential. You will ensure the quality of all products, materials, and operations by complying with all quality practices. Additionally, you will use manual, power, and automated tools for cutting, trimming, and preparing cables for assembly.
Skills
• Cable/Connector experience
• Ability to follow prints/diagrams
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools
• Basic soldering skills with solder pot and resistive solder tweezers
• Ability to read rulers, tape measures, and perform math functions, especially fractions and decimal conversion
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work with small components and occasionally under a magnifying glass/microscope
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Peabody, Massachusetts.
Environment
Tru Corporation designs and assembles RF and microwave interconnect products. The role involves partnering with Military and DOD companies, so professional attire is preferred. You will be working with a team of 7 in a climate-controlled environment. The working hours are 7am-3:30pm.
