WHAT YOU’LL DO
As part of the Global Business Intelligence and Analytics team, you will pioneer boundaries in technology and innovation. This role plays a pivotal role in harnessing the power of data to drive strategic decisions, fostering innovation, and providing powerful insights to steer BCG towards success.
Positioned in the Enterprise Services business at the heart of our global operations, you will lead a dynamic team in the pursuit of analytical excellence, turning complex data into actionable insights that shape BCG’s future. This BI&A Product Team Leader role will also spearhead initiatives that redefine industry standards, cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and analytical curiosity, and leverage new technologies to solve real-world challenges. This role reports into the BI&A Product Portfolio Leader, a member of the Enterprise Service Leadership team.
Partnering with senior leadership and stakeholders that consume the product(s), the BI&A Product Team Leader will be accountable for delivering business results and customer value measured through specific KPIs. You possess strong domain expertise and will ultimately play an ‘integrator’ role across a set of related products. You are responsible for facilitating, supporting, and motivating your product team members. You know how to set strategic direction for your teams and are comfortable stepping out of the way while enabling your Product Owners and Squads to drive and deliver the work. You have an ability to empower and bring out the best in people and enjoy coaching and developing them. You will also drive collaboration and knowledge sharing at all levels of the organization to break down siloes and achieve the best results for the organization. In this role, you can expect to coordinate closely with the Product Portfolio Leader to stay aligned on business priorities and make sure the team is progressing and delivering against them.
Among your responsibilities, you will:
• Set the overall product vision and strategy to direct and inform the team’s work
o Define, evolve and drive the roadmap for the global analytics and reporting platform and ultimately, additional products;
o Setting objectives for the Product Team and ultimately working with Product Owners to align on goals ensure the products deliver business results and customer value
o Work closely with the Product Portfolio Leader to understand and drive alignment on business strategy
o Ensure that products are built in an incremental way, releasing new features that create value for the business
o Track product performance to inform future work (define measurable OKRs / KPIs to measure impact)
• Act as the key liaison on cross-functional collaboration
o Partner with leadership from functions outside of BI&A to define and build their analytic roadmap
o Lead cross-functional collaboration and engagement; identify highest priorities opportunities to support
o Support activities to define funding and resource requests that enable new analytic product builds
o Align cross-functional team members on best practices, knowledge sharing; foster community of excellence and innovation
• Serve as the voice of customer
o Engage in continuous discovery, proactively seek feedback from business to understand customer needs
o Constructively challenge business on assumptions to ensure deeper understanding of requirements, workflows and process to ensure products are fit for purpose
o Translate the voice and needs of customers into a prioritized list of potential innovations, engaging users as needed
o Leverage empirical and qualitative data to assess feature performance and inform prioritization
o Determine tradeoffs involving customer value, cost, and speed to execution
o Facilitate product demos to empower team members with real-time feedback from customers
• Oversee what is delivered by the Squad and when, ensuring to maximize business value to targeted customers
o Transform objectives into a clear vision for your team(s) to inform the creation and prioritization of the team’s work
o Prioritize work through a well-organized backlog of user stories and clearly communicate what needs to be done and by when
o Define and clearly communicate acceptance criteria for output based on business & customer needs

o Act as cultural steward, foster innovation and curiosity, ensure voices are heard and team is supported to explore new ideas that can drive value
o Regularly engage with the Squad to offer feedback on work-in-progress and clarify requirements
o Engage with Chapter Leads regarding resourcing and functional expertise required in Squad
o Managing and developing direct reports to help improve individual and team performance
o Regularly collecting and providing continuous feedback as part of performance management process for direct reports
o Overseeing the Product Team’s budget and engaging with organizational funding processes

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
• Total 10+ years’ relevant experience in Business Intelligence roles (e.g. Product Owner, Project Manager)
• Good understanding of technology enabled business transformation, Product Strategy, Digital Transformation, Organizational Transformation
• Experience managing people at Sr. Manager, Director, or Executive level
• Understanding of agile principles and ways of working
• Divergent thinker who can converge ideas into tangible products
• Exceptional communications and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in consulting is a plus
