Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities:
• A monthly schedule of bus trips will be distributed at the end of each month
• All trips must be covered. In the event you cannot cover a shift please call Assistant Director of Member Services. In the case of no coverage please notify Member Services ASAP so that arrangements can be made for an alternate means of bus transportation
• Arrive 30 minutes before scheduled trip to warm up or cool off the bus and conduct pre-trip inspection. In the winter plan to arrive earlier if there has been a snowstorm in order to clean off the bus
• Greet and help people both on and off the bus. For shopping trips, please assist members with packages
• Record on daily sheet starting and ending mileage, starting and ending times and your initials
• Please use phone only when necessary and never while driving. No personal calls allowed on bus phone
• Bus keys are held at concierge (front) desk. Keys are to be picked up and returned to the desk after each shift. Store gas receipts in monthly envelope provided
• Turn in gas envelope to Transportation Coordinator at end of each month. Turn in daily schedule to Transportation Coordinator at the end of each shift
• Due to the nature of scheduling, you must give a least a 2 week notice for vacation time
Required Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Education: High School or equivalent
• Must have a current Massachusetts driver’s license CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement and in good standing
• Previous Experience: 1-2 years of related customer service experience
• In addition, employee must successfully pass the CORI check as requested by Orchard Cove. Must be able to pass DOT physical exam. Must attend mandatory in-services provided by Orchard Cove and periodic in-services in order to keep your license current
