We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Virtual Social Worker to join our team for the upcoming school year. This full-time position involves providing essential social work services to K-12 students across New Mexico in a virtual setting. The ideal candidate will support students’ emotional, social, and academic well-being, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
Responsibilities:
• Counseling: Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, social, and academic issues.
• Assessment: Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and develop appropriate support plans.
• Intervention: Develop and implement intervention strategies to address specific student issues and improve overall well-being.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student success.
• Crisis Management: Provide crisis intervention and support for students experiencing emergencies.
• Resource Coordination: Connect students and families with community resources and services.
• IEP Participation: Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and services provided.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Valid social work license in the state of New Mexico.
• Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of social work principles, ethics, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.
• Proficiency with virtual communication tools and technology.
