LSI is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, full-time Social Worker for our Behavioral Health Intervention Services. The person in this role is critical to empowering the children and families we serve toward success.
What You’ll Do
Our Social Worker will provide skill-based interventions to address the behavioral needs of Iowa children and parents that accompany a mental illness diagnoses. The person in this role is responsible for building the behavioral skills they need to thrive in their home and in their community. In addition, this role will:
• Provide ongoing assessment to families
• Develop and make changes to the implementation plan based on a child or family’s individual situation
• Evaluate a child or family’s progress
The person in this role would work with our families on weekends and during evening hours in Emmet, Dickonson, Palo Alto and Clay counties. Travel is required, as families are seen in their homes, an office, or other community settings. LSI will reimburse you for mileage, and we offer flexible scheduling.

What You’ll Need
Qualified applicants for this role must have one of the following:
• A Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services related field, plus one year of full-time equivalent human service experience. Twenty hours of child mental health training may be substituted for experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a non-human services related field, plus two years of full-time equivalent human service experience. Thirty hours of child mental health training may be substituted for experience.
Preferred Applicants Will Meet The Following Qualifications
• A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a human services related field, plus one year of full-time equivalent child mental health services experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in a non-human services related field, plus two years of full-time equivalent child mental health services experience
• A qualifying degree and completion of 20 hours of child mental health training
Acceptable human service degrees include Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, and Human Services or Development. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply!
