Job Summary
Assists department Manager in all phases of management as needed with regard to proper planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring, training, and implementing effective work processes and programming. Provides appropriate backup to assigned areas of control. This position assists Manager in oversight of the department’s regulatory compliance as well as designing and implementing performance improvement activities.

Accountabilities
• Supports the Department Manager by providing leadership and mentoring guidance to Clinical staff.
• Coordinates department processes in regards to the day to day operations of the team.
• Serves as an expert in clinical care, including but not limited to, Therapeutic Intervention, Discharge Planning, Treatment Planning, Policies and Procedures, and Regulatory and Compliance issues.
• Provides direct and indirect clinical services to patients and families, maintaining competence in practice areas.
• Coordinates administrative responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to, staffing, policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, and team building.
• Assists Manager by coordinating, assessing and improving department’s performance by designing processes, monitoring performance through data collection, analyzing data and implementing suitable performance improvement initiatives.
• Assists Manager in overseeing environment of care by developing, implementing and monitoring processes to enhance the patient and employee experience.
• Trains new employees as assigned. Conducts periodic training, meetings and/or workshops with Clinical staff.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Requirements
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related Human Services field
• 5 years – Licensed Clinical Practice
Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
• Either LISW – CP, LPC, or LMFT required and valid in South Carolina; CPR – Heartsaver
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
