Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Adhere to Government policies, processes, and protocols for access control and identity management.
• Interface with visitors and permanent party personnel daily to fulfill access requirements.
• Use Government databases to process facility visit/access requests.
• Verify clearances in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
• Create/update personnel profiles and access levels in the facility’s electronic access control system.
• Issues badges.
• Provide basic facility orientation and security briefs.
• Coordinate with Government POCs to remedy discrepancies related to access control processes.
Travel
• This position includes a low level of travel.
Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in badging or access control services
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Previous experience using and maintaining filing systems and records.
• Must maintain the capability to communiate with their supervisor and/or manager when not in the office.

Qualifications
• Active DoD Secret security clearance is highly desired; however, candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain one will be considered. If the selected candidate does not hold an active clearance, he/she will receive a contingent A start date will be established once an interim Secret clearance is granted.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations on base.
Physical Requirements
• Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
• Reaching, handling, using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 lbs.
