We are looking to add an Automation Developer to join our Information Technology team in Waukee, IA. Candidates thrive in our environment when they harness their collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a love of learning.
This role will be responsible for transforming ideas into enterprise-scale automation processes using a broad range of technical skills and business acumen.
Duties:
• Work with RPA team to sign off on the business and technical requirements.
• Contribute to the designs of the RPA and automation solutions.
• Develop automation projects and components according to the solution design, using the dedicated automation software.
• Adhere to the automation development methodologies and RPA best practices.
• Perform software testing for the automation workflows and work with the testing team to identify and troubleshoot bugs.
• Participate in all the stages of the automation project lifecycle, such as production deployment, hypercare, and monitoring.
• Create the technical documentation for the automations developed, according to the best practices.
• Review code written by peers and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Administer automation platform, keeping the platform current, stable and secure.
• Analyze, understand and document the business processes in detail where required.
• Provide technical training and guidance on RPA systems and procedures.
• Stay up to date with the latest RPA trends, standard methodologies, and new technologies.
• Communicate status updates to stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Align with organizational core values.
• Ability to act in the liaison role, between business stakeholders, vendors and Enterprise teams.
• Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications and outsourced systems.
• Preferred technologies: UiPath, AI machine learning models, Azure, Salesforce, SQL (or similar query language), VB.NET, C#
• Ability and willingness to consistently participate in internal and external educational opportunities to enhance knowledge of current insurance topics or relevant system improvements.
• Ability and willingness to pursue a technical designation and/or continuing education, as appropriate.
• Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as waterfall, agile, rapid prototyping, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and technical and skills
• Displays intellectual curiosity and integrity.
• Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, where and when needed, to do what’s right for the customer, partner and for HMA.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Thorough knowledge of organization processes and functions, and how these are affected by automated solutions.
Qualifications:
• Experience: 4+ Years’ experience in a business solutions capacity including: implementation, solution analysis & design, enterprise systems integration, data architecture and migrations and at least one programming language. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or related field.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project methodologies and practices. Experienced in technical writing and good communication skills.
