What we are looking for:
Fiera Capital is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing US Distribution team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a team-first approach and accept the challenges of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where the focus remains steadfastly on the end client. Associates play a key role in helping the team identify and develop new business opportunities and service our clients within the institutional plan sponsor, registered investment advisory and investment consultant channels.
The US Distribution Associate role combines on-the-job training with formal training classes and special project assignments. In this role, an associate will be exposed to different functional teams that contribute to our goals throughout the client lifecycle, including Business Development, Market & RFP Support and Client & Account Services. Analysts will also be provided with a peer buddy and a mentor who will help with your assimilation into Fiera and also guide your future career.
Your responsibilities:
Regardless of your specific job assignment, you will be expected to:
• Build an in-depth knowledge of the firm’s product offerings across asset classes, platforms and overall investment capabilities
• Build an understanding of clients, consultants and prospects differing needs and levels of sophistication, in order to tailor sales and support to the target audience
• Understand the full client lifecycle from marketing, prospecting, sales, onboarding and service
• Continuously learn and share product knowledge, industry trends and regulatory compliance guidelines
• Assist the team in the execution of sales plans designed to drive asset and revenue growth across the firm
• Manage strict deadlines in a high-energy, fast-paced environment with the ability to assess and reprioritize projects based on client needs (internally and externally)
• Work collaboratively to meet our objectives and improve the overall quality and efficiency of our processes
Depending on your specific job assignment, your specific responsibilities may include:
• Conduct pre-meeting due diligence research on sales prospects and consultants
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis across the internet and LinkedIn
• Source and qualify prospects through various public websites and other subscribed databases
• Collaborate with internal partners in all distribution efforts including cross-sales
• Prepare presentation materials for client and prospect meetings
• Update prospect and consultant information in our CRM system (Salesforce)
• Assist in the creation of marketing material to support business development efforts
• Analyze Salesforce campaign performance metrics and report key findings
• Project manage and lead coordination of Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ)
• Collaborate with Global SMEs, such as Sales, Portfolio Managers, Product Specialists to develop content
• Create compelling, precise, client-focused RFP responses, customized where necessary and appropriate
• Routinely monitor approval of marketing documentation being distributed to clients and prospects
• Maintain product profiles and investment process language for key product areas
• Proactively manage and organize RFP responses in RFPIO (content Database) leveraged by the Global team
• Manage the onboarding process between the client and custodian
• Liaise between Advisor team and Legal/Compliance and Operations to handle client legal agreements
• Set-up new accounts on internal systems and coordinate cash movements as required
• Create Monthly/Quarterly statements and custom reporting as required; and
• Oversee account termination and final billing, coordinating with the internal billing department and the advisor
Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related field
• Relevant internships with experience and continued interest in Sales, Marketing or Client Service
• Extracurricular activities demonstrating commitment, discipline, teamwork and leadership
• A high degree of intellectual curiosity; the confidence to ask questions and the ability to learn quickly
• Personal integrity, strong work ethic and client service oriented
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
• Methodical, detail and results oriented
• Collaborative, team player
• Takes personal accountability and responsibility
• Ability to work effectively in a high paced sales environment with tight deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills are preferred
• Experience with Salesforce, FactSet, Morningstar Direct and eVestment are a plus
• Finra Series 7 & 63 may be required

• Fiera Capital adheres to a hybrid working environment with 3 days in-office per week
