This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored relocation.Responsibilities:• Teach physical education in grade five• Coach a middle school athletic team all three seasons• Manage all aspects of team equipment, game uniforms, and athlete nutrition• Provide administrative leadership for game day logistics of athletics program• Commit to fostering a diverse community in and out of the classroom• Demonstrate instructional excellence by knowing students and adapting curriculum• Remain current with best practices for the developmental needs of children and adolescents• Embrace the school’s six core values and become a contributing member of the school communityQualifications:• Bachelor’s degree preferred.• Experience teaching physical education preferred.• Experience coaching youth sports required.• Excellent communication skills (verbal / written) and organizational skills.• Collaborative team player and advocate for self and community• Cultural competency with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.• A sense of humor, flexibility, energy, patience, and creativityPlease submit a cover letter specific to this position along with a resume to careers@belmontday.org . by Monday, May 28 th .The school will always be maintained as a nonsectarian institution.
