The Associate, Debt Asset Management – Americas, performs market-leading debt asset management practices related to managing a portfolio of loans secured by commercial real estate properties. Such loans may be fixed or floating rate term loans which can be first mortgage or subordinate debt positions. The job performs ongoing market, property and borrower surveillance to identify portfolio risk, including preparing updates to financial models and asset summaries to evaluate and reforecast investment performance.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Reports to one of two division heads for Debt Asset Management – Americas. • Direct assignment and responsibility for a portfolio of loans, with additional exposure to complex loan matters.
• Prepares, reviews and finalizes internal investment summaries, memorandum, and reports in connection with loan and portfolio performance, to be presented to portfolio management and other internal stakeholders.
• Supports and works with a diverse team ranging from managers to entry-level analysts, with loan assignments and workflow appropriately assigned by skill and experience level with all policies and procedures being understood and followed.
• Performs asset management research, and presents memorandums and analysis in support of strategic decisions, as well as in response to regular and complex borrower requests, including loan modifications and distressed asset situations, alongside an assigned manager.
• Interfaces with internal business partners on matters of loan originations, accounting, valuation, operations, servicing, portfolio management, appraisal, real estate equity, risk management, law and other functions as necessary.
• Interacts directly with clients and other external parties, including borrowers, investors and vendors, to ensure a best-in-class experience and practices, in coordination with manager.
• Understands real estate and lending market trends and conditions to assist in assessing the impact of such conditions on the performance of loans within the portfolio and processes & procedures of the platform, including implementation of operational improvements and technology.
• Completes ad-hoc projects as necessary and assigned as part of a detailed workstream maintained by the team.

Base Pay Range: $97,500/yr. – $135,000/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
