Why do you choose to work at Providence?

I chose Providence because I came as a traveler. I worked for a year as a traveler, and after that year, I decided that I should be a part of the family. I took a chance knowing I was driving an hour and a half to get to work, which on any given day, it still felt as if it was okay for me to do because I know I enjoyed where I was coming to work. I think I chose Providence, and Providence kind of chose me too.

Providence Health Plan is calling an Associate Claims Specialist, Medicaid who will:
• Process claims for members, providers, and employers
• Provide and interpret detailed benefit, eligibility, and premium information on a broad portfolio of products
• Respond to claim inquires
• Resolve member issues or concerns
• Correctly analyze and adjudicate claims to reflect financial, check, and processing accuracy
Providence welcome 100% remote work for residents who reside in one of the following State:
• Oregon
Required qualifications for this position include:
• 2+ years of experience with claims, customer service or accounting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2+ years’ customer service experience working in a healthcare or insurance environment (Examples: Clinical, Back office, Insurance Support, Etc.)
• 2+ years’ experience processing insurance claims
• 2+ years’ experience in membership accounting
