Job Description:
An Assistant Scientist position is available within the University of Florida LISA group led by Dr. Paul Fulda and Dr. David Tanner. This is a twelve-month, time-limited, non-tenure-accruing position to begin in August 2024. The candidate will contribute to our research on the stability and noise in ultralow expansion materials for use in space sattelointe gravitational-wave detectors, such as LISA and follow-on missions. The Assistant Scientist will be a member of the UF LISA group.

Expected Salary:
The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and the compensation includes a full benefits package.

Minimum Requirements:
Successful candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Physics or a related area. Several years of experience in experimental work on gravitational-wave detectors, advanced laser metrology, design and construction of electronics for control of lasers, and picometer accuracy measurements of optical structures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate Student or Postdoctoral research experience is expected
