Assistant Men’s & Women’s Swimming Coach Fulltime

The Assistant Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach will assist the head coach with all aspects of running a successful men’s and women’s swimming and diving program. Will serve as recruiting coordinator for the men’s & women’s team. Responsibilities include sourcing, initial recruit contacts, planning & executing multiple recruiting events throughout the year. This position will monitor the academic progress of swimming student-athletes and includes scheduling and monitoring study hall hours and weekly academic meetings. This position will be responsible for a training group of 15-20 athletes, including their daily practice plan, injury management, interfacing with training room staff, and coaching at competitions. This position will communicate effectively with student-athletes, recruits, parents, alumni, and administration. They will support an aquatics programs to more fully engage the campus community through intramurals, recreation and educational opportunities.

This assistant coach will adhere to NCAA rules and compliance and perform various duties within the Athletics Department.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Previous collegiate coaching or competitive swimming experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to identify and attract outstanding student-athletes to Union College.
• Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• A philosophy compatible with a multi-classified liberal arts college with highly selective academic standards.
• Candidates must be safety conscious and able to work with a diverse group of individuals.
