Overview Of The Assistant Controller Role
• Responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting department.
• General Ledger reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Financial reporting monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
• Internal and external audit.
• Ad hoc projects / reporting.
Preferred Qualifications For The Assistant Controller
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• 5-10 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position
• Non-profit experience is required
• Advanced Excel skills – Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s
