As Asset Wealth Management – Juduciary Risk, Executive Director, you will be responsible for oversight of this newly formed business channel from startup to execution. The CRO will be responsible for ensuring that the business understands the risks in the newly formed model, the customer segment as well as ensuring there are robust controls/standards/frameworks in place to mitigate risk and allow the business to grow successfully and prudently. The CRO is responsible for proactively overseeing the business team, as appropriate, and will partner closely with legal, compliance and controls to ensure all risks are understood, measured and transparent. Develop effective working relationships with the JPMPC business teams
Job Responsibilities
• Identify risk issues in the business and perform reviews into such areas to identify gaps and recommend risk mitigation strategies
• Active role in the New Business Initiative process and decision making around structure and design
• Represent Risk in committees and/or meetings and review key risk issues, as appropriate
• Act as the Chief Risk Officer, reporting directly to the CRO of JPMWM
• Represent Risk Management in regulatory exams and internal audits impacting the Private Client Business
• Review, develop, enhance, and implement Private Client Risk Frameworks (procedures, guidelines, etc.)
• Develop a complete and holisitic reporting suite including the creating and calibration of Key Risk and Performance indicators to ensure all risks are known and measured
• Build a team of professionals to support the initiative and independently challenge / oversee the various components of the business model
• Work with technology to evaluate and ensure consistency in Risk metrics
Requires Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/related fields
• 7 plus years’ work experience in Financial Services, Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, Audit or Related Consulting with Banking / Wealth Management
• Familiarity with the Wealth Management product suite and governing rules
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills
• Have substantial expertise in Financial Services and or Wealth Management
• Have a demonstrated history of working on cross-functional teams and impacting change
• Have excellent presentation skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to deliver recommendations to multiple stakeholders and influence senior management
• Are comfortable and proficient in dealing with data and large data sets
• Exhibit healthy skepticism while being detail oriented and maintaining the trust of your business partners
