Responsibilities/Qualifications
Drees Homes, one of the Nation’s largest homebuilders is seeking a collaborative team player who is dedicated and passionate about residential design for an immediate opportunity as an Architecture Specialist.
The Drees Architecture department serves a crucial role within the company. We work alongside division clients to design, draft and maintain innovative, beautiful, and market-responsive home designs. This position is open for an applicant with a passion for residential architecture. We are looking for someone with the ability to aid the Architecture department in delivering detailed drawings to the field in a timely manner. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Complete accurate construction drawings and details
• Review proposed designs for compliance with applicable codes
• Complete independent assignments with minimal supervision
• Fluent in Design Principles for completion of assigned projects
• Coordinate selections with standard plans to generate site-specific drawings ready for permit.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
• Master of Architecture, a plus
• Residential architecture work or course work experience
• Must be proficient in Revit and MS Office programs; AutoCAD experience a plus
• A mindset of quality control to review and revise drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
• Understanding of architectural drafting techniques and standards.
• Knowledge of or aptitude to learn building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
• Strong organizational skills with detail-oriented mindset and focus on accuracy and precision.
• Positive attitude and self-motivated
• Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Be prepared to present a portfolio during the interview process
This position will be working out of our Corporate Architecture Department, located in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
