Job Title: Angular UI Developer

Location: 100% Remote (EST Hours)

Duration: Likely 1 year+

Overview

We are assembling a team of 4-5 Angular UI Developers for a critical migration project, transitioning applications from COBOL to Angular. The team will be exclusively focused on this migration, and candidates must be strong in Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Experience in migrating legacy applications is highly beneficial.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 7+ years of experience in web-based software development.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Angular/AngularJS.
• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with Angular 16+ and modern single-page application frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and state management.
• Ability to mentor developers and conduct code reviews.
• Experience transforming designer comps into user-friendly interfaces.

Responsibilities
• Convert COBOL source code and database structures to modern Angular applications.
• Review and analyze existing COBOL code to retain essential business logic.
• Re-implement business logic in JavaScript/TypeScript compatible with Angular.
• Build responsive, interactive UIs using Angular.
• Foster a culture of mentorship and collaboration within the team.
• Develop reusable Angular UI components and ensure cross-browser functionality.

Additional Qualifications
• Experience with component libraries like Angular Material, Bootstrap, Tailwind.
• Proficiency in version control tools like GIT/VSTS.
