Performs various duties at Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) as dictated by operational requirements including but not limited: Provide the essential training and record keeping applicable FAR Part 139 subjects including Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting. Develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures / Standard Operating Guidelines. Maintain Maintain airport security standards of FAR Part 1542 and the Airport Security Plan. Responsible for individual assigned duties and special projects. Collaborate with management to develop, implement, and oversee safety procedures and training programs, coordinating efforts with the Corporate Office, as necessary, to maintain Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) compliance. Maintain Airport’s Learning Management’s and technical software(s) including but not limited to VEOCI, Google Classroom, ANTN Digicast and ADP. Responsible for maintaining training records for the operations and maintenance departments. Ensures the airport’s compliance with safety standards and corporate policies. Perform duties as assigned by the Regulatory Compliance Manager or Operations Manager(s).
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Emergency Management, Fire Science, and other applicable degree program. Minimum of three (3) years of experience at an FAR Part 139 airport. Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of degree preference. Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting, airport emergency planning, and snow removal experience required. Licenses and Certifications Required: A valid Connecticut Class “D” Driver’s License must be obtained upon hiring. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances required to work at an airport.
