Description
We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the Government sector, based out of HAMPTON, Virginia. The role involves the precise management of customer applications, maintaining accurate records, and responding to customer inquiries. This opportunity offers long term contract employment where you will be required to monitor customer accounts and take necessary action in a proactive manner.
Responsibilities
• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
• Maintain precise records of customer credit
• Resolving customer inquiries efficiently and professionally
• Inputting invoices and ensuring their correct scanning
• Update spreadsheets with utility payments details
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry
• Ensure proficiency in using MS Excel for various tasks
• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable(AP) to manage customer accounts effectively
• Maintain a speed of Numeric 8,001 – 10,000 KPH for efficient data entry.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and management is essential
• Strong skills in MS Excel are required
• Proven experience in data entry tasks
• Ability to type Alpha 8,001 – 10,000 kph
• Ability to type Numeric 8,001 – 10,000 KPH
• Knowledge and understanding of government accounting procedures and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a high-paced work environment
• Prior experience in a government accounting role would be advantageous.
