We are excited to offer a contract-to-hire position for an Accounting Manager who thrives in a remote work environment. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in accounting and financial analysis, particularly within the insurance and financial services industry.
What You’ll Do
Oversee accounting processes for multiple entities, including managing books and performing daily bank reconciliations.
Prepare accurate financial statements and regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with all standards and requirements.
Conduct financial analysis and risk management to support decision-making and maintain financial health.
Complete audit schedules and manage multi-entity intercompany accounting tasks.
Prepare detailed financial reports at the end of each month, including regulatory reports and filings.
Utilize tools such as QuickBooks and Excel to perform complex data analysis and create insightful reports.
Handle investments, bonds, and other financial instruments, applying your knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting.
Key Skills And Qualifications
At least 10 years of experience in a relevant accounting role.
Proficiency in intercompany accounting and balance sheet reconciliation is essential.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and data analysis.
Strong background in financial analysis and risk management.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
Previous experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
