Software technology company, with operations in the US and Canada, providing services through online software (SaaS) seeks an Accounting Clerk to support timely and accurate accounts payable and receivable functions. Clerk will work with AP and AR data. AR work is limited to failed charges to customer provided credit cards as company does not have regular receivables. You will compile data, compute charges, and prepare invoices. With an hourly compensation range of $25.00 to $28.50, the position offers the opportunity to progress to within the department with the candidate’s development of skills, gain in knowledge and experience along with company growth.
Responsibilities:
• Calculate costs of goods and services
• Three way match with invoice, PO and receiver
• Assemble Track and record deliveries to customers
• Distribute invoices for sales review
• Keep accurate records in accordance with company standards
• Provide support to annual financial audit including producing summary schedules for select expense and asset accounts
• Perform other office tasks in Accounting as needed
Qualifications:
• Recent or current remote working experience
• Accounting or finance degree preferred, but significant experience will substitute
• 5 or more years experience in same or similar role
• Experience in receivables and payables entry, posting and analyses.
• Experience in data entry
• Knowledge of standard accounting procedures
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication skills
Requirements:
• Experience working remotely in a SaaS environment
• Experience with Zuroa and Sage Intact preferred
• Sense of urgency, curiosity, proactive nature and an eye for detail
• Able to multi-task and prioritize in fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical skills combined with good business judgement
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
• Flexible to respond to requests and work cross-functionally
• Strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to excellence
