We are currently seeking a Learning and Development Director to join our highly skilled ABA team. The ABA Learning & Development Director is responsible for researching, developing and implementing all learning content related to serving individuals with autism. Remarkable ways you will be making a difference…
• Develops teaching outlines and instructional methods for individual and group learning opportunities.
• Conducts learning sessions for internal and external stakeholders, such as New Hire Orientation, 1st Aid/CPR, CMT, RBT certifications, etc.
• Collaborates with the Director of Learning & Development and ABA Program leaders to develop and implement projects/training activities to promote clinical and administrative expertise within Damar and within the industry.
• Provides supervision to ABA Facilitators to ensure consistent learning experiences for ABA employees across all clinic locations.
• Serves as a representative at various industry meetings, conferences, and committees.
• Demonstrates ownership of the learning process including full accountability to meet department goals and creating a positive learner experience through managing content, scheduling, interactions, and outcomes.
• Designs, plans and implements learning and development curriculum/programs to drive organization improvement and comply with Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) requirements.
• Serves as primary administrator for the BCaBA/BCBA supervision program by managing and tracking supervision contracts and supervision hours.
• Conducts Training Needs Analysis (TNA) using ADDIE methodology that identifies competencies, learning requirements, training/professionalization deficiencies and learning objectives.
What you need to be considered…
• Master’s degree required.
• Two to five years’ experience in the ABA field.
• Two years’ experience in learning and development.
• Must have BCBA certification.
• Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
• Must meet and maintain background screening requirements of program(s) assigned to.
• No felony convictions or other criminal offenses involving a dependent population.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
